London Marathon 2012

I CAN’T BELIEVE I’M DOING IT! But I am – running the LONDON MARATHON 2012. I am very happy and proud to be running for Drinkaware, a charity informing about alcohol and its effects.

Even though there is nothing like a great red wine with your meal or a cold beer on a summers day, alcohol also has it downsides. I’m from a family line with alcoholism in the genes and have seen the devastating effects it can have. In  Sweden, where I grew up, we have a culture of binge drinking similar to the UK and it creates massive problems on a different levels in society.

Drinkaware is there to inform you of all aspects of alcohol. They also have tools to help you monitor your alcohol intake, like the Alcohol Unit Calculator were you can calculate the calories of what you’ve been drinking. I will be blogging more about this in the future, you can follow that and everything else relating to London Marathon 2012 in the rss feed further down this page.

I have a fund raising target – Can you help me reach it? Every little contribution counts. You can donate very easily via text message:

» Send a text message with the code: “WWWW77”
