I slept through most of this weekend. Horrible really. I don’t feel too bad though, coz we’re off next week to Majorca so I have plenty of free time. Just 3 days of work next week. Yay yay!
Jon & I went around the city on Friday to get some flip-flops for Jon and a new bikini for me (and a cheap dress as well it turned out – see below) Coming back home we were both really tired and accidentally fell asleep in the bed. I woke up at nine and was so disappointed because I’d bought stuff to do a home-made pizza (a healthy one according to the recipe). I was so annoyed I slept through the whole evening, so I decided to do the pizza anyway. When the dough was on yeast I woke Jon up. He did not feel like pizza at all, understandably. But by the time it was time to make the topping and stuff he was all game. This was my pizza, whole-wheat pizza base, goat’s cheese basil, caramelized onions and sun-dried tomatoes. Not bad, not bad. Jon’s had pineapple and chicken. We ate the leftovers on Saturday.
This is my new beach dress only 9 quid. Which I realize you can’t see much of from this picture…
We went to the park Saturday for a little while. It was very hot though. We ended up not staying long but went home for a nap again. Woke up in time for the football.
Today’s been quite productive. After ministry and meeting, I made panang curry and a red lentil soup for tomorrow. I haven’t had Panang curry since gothenburg days, when me and Sofia used to have lunch at Cosmos and I always used to have Panang Curry. Mmmm.. It did turned out good making it myself as well.
I have spent some time over the weekend filling in a RP1 form for Jon. It is a form to claim money from the National Insurance Fund. Jon was laid off last year February, and has been trying to get his ex-employer to pay him the 2 months wages he’s owed. But with no luck. Recently I came across a similar case at work and realized that Jon can actually claim the money from the National Insurance Fund (even though I was first told that we couldn’t because the company hasn’t gone legally insolvent, but we can) So I’ve written a letter and enclosed all relevant documents and I am going to send it off tomorrow. I hope I won’t be disappointed again. Maybe, maybe we can recover some of the
3,500 he’s owed.
Right I’m going to read my book now (all about how to be a successful PA, Secretary – quite interesting and inspiring actually) and then go to bed. We’re getting up for a run tomorrow morning – yay!
