Basket case attack

The most horrible thing happened on the way home from work. I was cycling on the cycle road in my own thoughts when I see this kid around 4-5 years standing by the side of the road. He has a big branch in his hand swinging it around, in what I thought was thoughtlessness. It happens almost everyday that stupid kids run all over the place and you have to get their attention and tell them to stop. But it’s always stupidity and ignorance. When I slowed down and made the kid aware of my presence with a “Hey!” he determinedly walked up to my bike and raised his branch and started hitting it, without stopping. I started screaming but was mostly in shock. Luckily a woman came cycling behind me and she’d seen the whole thing and started screaming at the boy to stop when she approach but he didn’t stop. So she cycled right up to him, stopped just in front of him to scare him – but he just continued. Then she put her face right close to his and screamed all she could and finally he dropped his stick and ran to his mum. I can’t believe it; he was like a little nasty animal.
The mum who just realized what happened said she was sorry and the woman who assisted me screamed at her to keep an eye on her “horrible”, “vile” child and that she would call the police. She screamed everything that I couldn’t get out of my chest. I started cycling slowly and said “Thank you!” to the woman in front of me. She slowed down so we were leveled and we chatted a bit. She said: “and the worst thing is; we can’t even hit them” Hahaha… True. That boy needs to be seriously shook around!

Hair salon interrogation

I was sitting in the hair salon getting a hair cut and was thinking about this blog post, but now sitting down to write it I feel empty. That’s the problem with me and updating a blog. I don’t have the computer with me when I get the urge to update. I definitely need an iphone. To sum it up, the hair cut experience was awkward. You know, service people who aren’t naturally service minded and don’t really like talking to people, just cutting hair. Which is fine. It was just weird questions and I wanted to get out of that uncomfortable chair with no foot rest and my legs started hurting and all of a sudden the hairdresser’s face in mine; “Do you like getting your hair done, Caroline?” How do you respond to that? If I say “No, I hate it – just get on with it already” that would be awkward. But saying Yes (which eventually was what came out as soon as I got it through my head what she had actually said) is also very weird. Don’t you think?

She also had a very english accent which I found difficult to understand. And she overused my name. A lot. She asked how long I’ve been married. And then; “Is it going well?”
IT’S FRICKIN AWESOME AIIGHT??!

The diet is going great. The pain is almost gone. I am half way through it. Some people at work seem to think I’m not going to make it. Physically I’m convinced I will make it through. Again – except for the pain, I have felt fine. Better than normal. And mentally, I’m waaay too stubborn to give in. It won’t happen.

I will enjoy food more after this though.. In a good way I hope. Good food. And I cannot believe I’m free from coffee!

This turned out to be a decent blog post. See ya

Borehamwood

Time just flies doesn’t it? Need to get into my blog routine again. At work now, having my lunch break. Busy day today and it’s getting to me. It’s been busy days for a while now. Just want things to go back to normal.
The above pic is from when Jon and I headed down to Borehamwood to see Shaun an Majka. We were stuck in traffic, standing still for over an hour so I need something to distract myself with. We had a great time at Shaun & Majka’s except for when Shaun choked on his steak and had to go to hospital. Poor guy…
Had a really good run Monday morning, I need to get up earlier though to eat something otherwise I feel like I did last week Friday. Had some yoghurt and musli. It feels so much better to run in the morning, you wake up properly, burn fat all day (hopefully!) and you can veg when you get home with a good conscience.

Wales

Wales
We came back from Wales yesterday evening. Went camping with a few friends over the Bank holiday wknd. The weather turned out to be alright and we did an awesome trip up Snowdon mountain. Cool place, cool experience. Will definitely go mountain walking/climbing again. My legs were killing me today though. This is me and Jon at some waterfall on the way back to P’boro.

Wales

Back to work today. Which is hard as it is, after a long weekend, but being under staffed and snowed under as well doesn’t help, so I got in a bit of a bad mood. Tomorrow is the audit. Hopefully everything will be ok, and it might actually.
I’m dying of thirst so I’ll stop here. bye
