oh how frustrating! I ran through Victoria station from the platform furthest away to the platform on the other side. From platform 19 to platform 1. I had three minutes. But as I get close, I see the train pulling away maybe twenty five meters away. Dammit! It’s not the first time this happens and it’s not the last, it’s just one of those things though that always annoys you.
My contact lenses have been terrible today. I think it’s the air con. Glasses tomorrow, it hurts my head trying to see clearly.
I really enjoy working at Logicspot. It’s exciting times. Growing and taking on new exciting projects. I really enjoy my work as well so far. It’s varied and get to do a lot of stuff that I love, all day long. And I’m trying to soak up everything I can from everyone. The only annoying thing is when my laptop isn’t behaving or having to re-install wamp server ten times to get it working. But that’s the nature of it all.
Even commuting is ok. I’m glad it’s train and overground all the way to Richmond. That I don’t have to squeeze into a tube train everyday. The train is a bit of a squeeze sometimes also, but nothing compared. So besides the story in the beginning; it’s all good.
Today I ran some errands in Richmond. At Boots this elderly couple, in their seventies or eighties came up to the cash register while I was paying. They asked a young lady cashier if they have iPads? The young lady looked really confused and looked at her older co worker who was serving me, who in turn asked the elderly lady; “do you mean like an eye patch?” and made a gesture to her eye. The old lady shook her head; “no an iPad, electronic device”
The cashier said no and directed her down the road and when they left we all laughed a bit and the older of the cashiers said; “it want just me then?” I laughed and left; “this is going on the blog!”
And there it is.
Despite some mishaps, I’m on the train now eating wasabi popcorn, blinking my tired irritated eyes and trying to see if the suit next to me is reading my blog post before it’s published.
Here’s some photos;
